Frequently
Asked Questions
Is this book suitable for any
standard skier, even those like me who have never skied before?
There are many books and guides for the
first time skier whose focus is to familiarise people with the
logistics of skiing (weather, lifts, clothing, basic equipment,
environment and so on) with skiing tips thrown in for novices and lower
level skiers. The problem with this approach is that it is superficial,
lacking depth, substance, and technical truth, and will not allow you
to progress past the terminal intermediate stage. The best way to avoid
bad habits from being ingrained is to not learn them in the first
place. As a beginner it is far more desirable to nourish yourself with
the naturally efficient process of the experts right from the word go.
This process is what this book is all about.

I’ve been skiing for
years, I’ve have had loads of ski instruction but I no longer
improve, will this help?
If you keep on doing what you’ve
always done, you’ll get what you’ve always had and
that’s why you no longer improve. The only way to get out of
this catch 22 is to have brand new thoughts about yourself and on
skiing and this is what the book is all about. Only new thoughts and
new perceptions that you’ve never had before will produce the
results that you’re looking for. I’ve written the
book with people like you in mind.

I’ve had a bad skiing
experience and I am ready to give it up but would rather not, will
reading your book cure me?
You are not alone with this problem. Could
it be that your past bad experience is haunting you when
you’re skiing? If this is the case, the book will provide you
with powerful solutions to reframe this perception and you will love
skiing again.

Can
I use the concepts in your book on my children?
Yes, highly encouraged, they
haven’t killed their spirit yet!

I want to improve my
technique; I am not interested in psychology, is this suitable for me?
Skip part one and begin with part 2 on
technique. There you will find state of the art technical concepts that
will deliver very powerful results. Once you’ve become
sufficiently pleased with your technical improvements, you may end up
curious enough to look at part one and further boost your skiing to a
whole new level.

How can applying the
principles in Ski As You Think help me pass my ski instructor
examination?
Skiing embodied within these principles
produces unparalleled results both physically and emotionally because
they teach you how to control and know in advance the exact outcome of
your descent before you start. Think of how powerful this skill can be
during examination. Not to mention how part 3 on alignment can help you
reduce your slalom times appreciably.

Can the ideas in Ski As You
Think be used outside of skiing as you seem to suggest?
A main focus of the book is on the law of
cause and effect. The great things about this law and other universal
principles are:
-
They operate by law.
-
The never default.
-
They are “of the
universe.”
And once you know how to control your
destiny on the slopes, you also have the tools to control your destiny
anywhere else.
Yours sincerely
